The Welland Recreational Canal is widely recognized as one of Canada’s premier rowing courses, having hosted numerous national and international regattas. Its straight, protected water and consistent racing conditions provide an exceptional high-performance training environment.This venue elevates training standards and positions Niagara Community Rowing as a regional hub for recreational, competitive, and developmental rowing. The launch of Niagara Community Rowing represents more than a new facility, it is a long-term investment in sport development, community connection, and competitive excellence.
With a premier waterway, a decorated high school program, and decades of coaching leadership from Head Coach MacNally and Coach Ruscitti, NCR is positioned to become the cornerstone of rowing in Niagara for years to come.
